In Israel, when Passover looms, everyone’s out shopping and cleaning, but in the children’s wards in hospitals miracles are hoped for. “What is different?” we traditionally ask; but for these children, everything has become different. They and their parents need vast reservoirs of strength and faith.
LatetTikva works year round to instill hope and joy in these children and their families. During Passover, we decided to conduct special activities to boost their hope a little more.
Hospitalized children dream of having the Seder at home, with parents, siblings and others. But their unfortunate luck leaves them in bed in hospital.
So it is thanks to you, your contributions and your concern that we were able to let parents spend their Seder night with children in the hospital, enjoying a family atmosphere and a festive meal.
For a few brief hours, they enjoyed freedom!
