Passover campaign: distributing Passover vouchers to enable the needy and the sick to accept aid discreetly and honorably. Thus, every family can choose their favorite products. To register – click here
Latet Tikva volunteers continue to toil: in addition to organizing Purim and Election Day activities, they are currently organizing this year’s Kimcha DePascha (Contribution to the poor for Passover), so they can ensure that even people who suffer scarcity and privation all year long will be able to celebrate Passover properly.
We estimate, based on last year’s distribution data and the requests we have already received in our branches, that about 20,000 needy families in Israel will enjoy the fruits of this Passover campaign, with a special emphasis on families whose children are hospitalized.
While in past years we distributed plentiful Passover food baskets that included meat, wine and matzah, as well as treats and snacks for the entire family – this year we’ll distribute vouchers that will enable the needy to receive what they need discreetly with dignity, without requiring them to reach the distribution center. This will also allow every family to choose the products they prefer.
The organization’s managers receive the list of families in need of aid, whose children are sick and suffer from chronic illnesses, from children’s wards in hospitals, from the welfare bureaus throughout Israel, or via advanced registration in our website.
If you or your loved ones are in need of a Passover basket, fill in your details at the bottom of this page, including your full name, ID number, telephone numbers, address, your monthly income and that of your spouse – and Latet Tikva volunteers will contact you.
Please prepare in advance the necessary documents indicating your income and a letter from a social worker or other municipal welfare service.
Please don’t delay and register today!
