LatetTikva volunteers held a meeting this week to prepare for a series of festive activities for children patients with the opening of the Jewish New Year 5775.
For Rosh Hashanah (New Year) hospitalized children will receive personalized greeting cards drawn by volunteers, together with gift packages. The gift packs will be handed out by volunteers and clowns who will ensure a sweet and fun atmosphere.
The meeting provided updates on the technical details of the motorbike trip planned for HolHamoedSuccot (intermediary days) with hundreds of bikers saluting LatetTikva’s brave children throughout the Greater Dan area.
Fun days to be held for children with cancer during Succot at sites and attractions throughout Israel were also summarized. The purpose of these days is to provide the children with a bit of vacation, relaxation and morale-boosting hope.
The preparatory meetings were attended by managers of the volunteer units and National Civic Service volunteers operating in the hospitals. LatetTikva’s representative thanked them all for their past year of success and wished everyone present a wonderful New Year.
Thousands of friends of LatetTikva will receive New Year greeting cards and thanks for their assistance and vital support during 5774 (2013/4).
