Latet Tikva director, Yossi Shinover, approved the school’s request for unwell children, hospitalized for a long time at Hadassah – to assist in funding the appreciation ceremony for the devoted faculty.
The school for Hadassah’s unwell children constitutes a special challenge since it is necessary to integrate treatment with studies and, contrary to regular school, here we need constant medical attention. Recently the Education Ministry notified us that the Hadassah school administration was selected to receive a national education award from the Ministry, and that the appreciation ceremony for 80 devoted faculty members would be sponsored by Latet Tikva.
The school’s principal, Mrs. Edna Pinchover, pointed at Latet Tikva’s considerable assistance throughout the year. Latet Tikva employs girls from National Service in the school as in other schools.
Pinchover says “I see great importance in this investment for the staff’s benefit, and I’m sure that the investment will contribute to the staff’s motivation and devotion, and ultimately – the children will benefit from it.”
At this time the Latet Tikva administration is discussing the idea of a Latet Tikva Award for the 5775 school year for schools in hospitals that exemplify excellence in studies for unwell children in hospitals in spite of their difficult situations.
